Name: Alice Baker Library -- Star Stories with Wehr Nature Center
Date: June 19, 2019
Time: 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM CDT
Event Description:
“Twinkle, twinkle, little star, how I wonder what you are!” Have you ever looked at the night sky and wondered about what all those sparkling lights are? Throughout history people have looked to the sky and imagined pictures in star patterns, giving them names to try and explain their meaning. Children will act out a few of history’s sky stories, learn about our moon and its phases, discover what they weigh on other planets, and create their own constellation. With interactive storytelling, costumes and props, participants will have a greater understanding of our star-studded night sky.
