Mukwonago, Wis.—Food Network celebrity chef Bobby Flay is on a secret mission: to challenge the absolute master cooks from around the country to a cook-off.  With hundreds of The Elegant Farmer and Food Network fans on hand for the filming, Farmer John Bauer, co-owner of The Elegant Farmer was put to the test to produce their award-winning apple pie against Bobby Flay’s own apple recipe. 

 Critically acclaimed celebrity chef, restaurateur and cookbook author, Bobby Flay hosts four shows on the Food Network.  His Throwdown! show is a popular feature on the network with millions of views each week.  The nationally broadcast episode featuring The Elegant Farmer will air on Thursday, November 20 at 7:00 p.m. and rebroadcast on Wednesday, November 26 at 8:30 p.m.

“A two judge panel got to vote on whether Chef Flay’s or The Elegant Farmer apple creation was best,” tells Bauer.  “Everyone present at the filming has been sworn to secrecy about who won so tune in and find out.”
