Pushing the Limits: Making Connections with Art

Jeff Noska and Barbara Reinhart of Composite Clay Studio in Dousman will show examples of ceramic artwork and discuss the connections with mathematics, physics, and chemistry that are integral and necessary aspects involved in creating the work.  Methods of construction, various clay bodies, glazes, and firing techniques will be included.  Questions from the audience will be encouraged. Pushing the Limits is a reading, viewing, and discussion program for adults in communities served by rural libraries, made possible by a grant from the National Science Foundation.
