Explore and get involved in ideas about Survival, Knowledge, Nature, and Connection in fun and informal discussions. How do advances in science and technology affect our lives every day? Join us to contemplate these questions in a new reading, viewing, and discussion series. The first book featured in February is Clive Cussler's Arctic Drift. Copies of the book are available in several formats at the library. Artic Drift will explore how humans are amazingly adaptable and resilient. We will talk about survival as individuals and communities and what role technology plays in these scenarios. This series will be co-facilitated by Alli Chase and David Shamsi. This series is made possible by a grant from the National Science Foundation: along with their partners -- the Association for Rural and Small Libraries, Dartmouth College, the CALIFA Group, Oregon State University, and the Dawson Media Group.
