Author Bio: Kathleen Ernst is a novelist, social historian, and educator. Her newest title is Old World Murder: A Chloe Ellefson Mystery. Her historical fiction for children and young adults include eight mysteries set between 1732 and 1945, all published by American Girl, and five novels set during the American Civil War. These titles have earned four Arthur Tofte Juvenile Fiction Awards, a Children?s Literature Award from the Society of Midland Authors, the Flora MacDonald Award, a WILLA Finalist Award, and Edgar and Agatha Award nominations. She also won an Emmy Award for a video scripted for public television. Kathleen lives in Middleton, Wisconsin, but enjoys traveling to new locales to meet readers and conduct research for new books.
