The Big Read At Elegant Farmer

 

Groups and individuals are invited to compete in a "fun" mockingbird calling contest to coincide with the Big Read theme novel To KIll A Mockingbird. Celebrity judges will present prizes for the best. ( Application forms available in store.) The purpose of this community-wide event is to encourage reading among all ages. Local Radio and newspapers will be there to cover the event. 

 

 Miss Jane, Children's Librarian from the Mukwonago Community Library, will present a storytime at 2:00 PM featuring books, songs, and rhymes about our feathered friends, the birds.

 

The event will be tied in with Earth Day so educational info and a children’s story time at 2:00 will be followed by a free craft.  Also, The Elegant Farmer will be sampling their special Wild Mockberry pie also available for purchase that day only.
