Event Description:
Did you know that Henry David Thoreau was on a train that stopped in Eagle 150 years ago? The train went from Prairie du Chien to Milwaukee. This program will briefly discuss Thoreau, his sojourn through the Kettle Moraine, and his significance in literature and ecology. There will be a 32 minute DVD shown. The Eagle Historical Society invites people to learn more about the train in Eagle and the Depot after June 27.
