Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing is a better alternative to traditional dimensioning and plus/minus type tolerances. GD&T saves money because it allows bonus tolerance when applicable, and provides easy determination of part functionality, often without requiring physical measurement. It all starts with learning a few symbols, their associated tolerance zones and being able to decipher between features-of-size (FOS) and non-FOS. This workshop takes the student from basic drawing interpretation to more advanced topics such as gauge design, and drawing development.
