Wisconsin Criteriun Championship Bicycle Races will turn Mukwonago’s Village into a pro/am cycling venue on Saturday, July 7 from 9 a.m. – 6 p.m.
The day will consist of exciting races for the State of Wisconsin Cycling Championship in various classes; 8 races are planned over the course of the day varying from 10 to 40 laps. The Mach Schnell Bicycle Club will also host a “Kids Race” allowing children up to 10 years of age to ride the course and receive a participation ribbon. They are also planning a celebrity race among Milwaukee radio personalities. These races will provide constant action for spectators throughout the eight hours of continuous, high energy professional cycling.
The start and finish line will be located at Pleasant and Park, the racers will proceed east, north on Division, east on Oakland, south on Grand, west on Pearl, north on Pleasant, west on Washington, north on Franklin, east on Park to finish. Streets will be closed to through traffic. Residents and Library patrons will be allowed access when safe in the direction of race flow. *Spectators are encouraged to park in either Clarendon Avenue School or Park View Middle School parking lots.
